Meet The Opticians

Patricia Carpenter, President and Owner

Patricia started working at Rockford Optical Service in June, 1970. In October, 1998 Patricia and her husband bought Rockford Optical from the founding family. Her goal is to provide "personalized service" to each and every customer.

One of Patricia's thoughts is "I think the people of Rockford are realizing that the box stores leave much to be desired. You never see the same person twice in these large optical stores. In our store, the person that helps you select your eyeglasses will most likely be the person that will dispense them to you. I stand behind the product I dispense and try to work with my patients to troubleshoot any problems they may have"

Patricia is proud of the fact that she and the employees of Rockford Optical Service will not try to sell their customers anything that they do not need. When possible they will make every effort to repair a broken frame. Patricia and Rockford Optical Service is proud of the fact that it is one of the few optical companies that can replace a hinge in a plastic frame, thus saving the customers the cost of replacing the entire frame.

Tina Ryan, Optician

Tina, age 29, joined the Rockford Optical staff as an optician over a year ago. We have found her to be a valuable asset to our staff. Tina has a good sense of style and "cool". As such our customers enjoy her help in selecting their frames.

Tina is an outgoing, friendly and extremely helpful optician.

Tina graduated from Rockford Business College with a degree in Medical Assisting. She has been married for three years and is the mother of an 11 year old son. She loves to spend time with her family fishing, tubing and camping.
