Polarized Sunglasses
Polarized sunglasses are used to reduce glare from reflective surfaces
such as snow, water, glass and shiny surfaces.
If your eyes are sensitive to light from windows you can also use polarized
sunglasses indoors to reduce the glare from that bright window.
Polarized sunglasses are excellent for the sport enthusiast. If you bike,
jog, boat, water ski, golf or enjoy any other activity outside, a polarized pair
of sunglasses should be covering your eyes.
Polarized lenses act by reducing or removing the horizontally polarized light
rays that are reflected from shiny surfaces by vertically oriented polarizer's
in the lens.
You can also get a polarized photo chromatic lens, the ones that change from
light to dark when exposed to sunlight, for those of you active people that are
constantly going from indoors to outdoors.
